SNIA ANZ respects the privacy of our members, subscribers, suppliers, and other visitors to our website who choose to provide personal information. We recognise the need for appropriate protection and management of personal information that you provide to us. This Privacy Policy will assist you to understand what types of information we may collect, how that information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to SNIA ANZ being the regional chapter of the worldwide SNIA. SNIA is a non-profit trade association representing the storage and information management community.

SNIA ANZ information process

Personal Information is information that identifies or can identify a specific individual. SNIA ANZ may collect information about individuals such as their name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. SNIA ANZ may collect certain personal information from members, subscribers, business partners, and delegates registering for events or training courses. SNIA ANZ does not collect personal information when you visit SNIA ANZ's website unless you choose to provide it to SNIA ANZ.

Members and subscribers — On the SNIA ANZ website you can register for events and courses, request information, subscribe to educational notices or access the members only sections. SNIA ANZ will collect personal information from you for these purposes. The types of information you provide to SNIA ANZ on these pages may include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, user IDs and passwords, credit card or other financial information, and contact preferences.

How does SNIA ANZ use membership and subscriber personal information?

SNIA ANZ will use personal information to provide members and subscribers with information on activities which you have previously selected as being of interest. We may also use it to contact you by electronic or other means such as telephone or mail, to tell you about events and services of SNIA ANZ if we think this may be of interest to you.
SNIA ANZ will not share the personal information that you have submitted to SNIA ANZ without your consent. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from any of the options chosen at any point.

With whom does SNIA ANZ share personal information?

SNIA ANZ contracts with third party service providers and suppliers to deliver membership services and events.

SNIA ANZ may share personal information with its service providers and suppliers for the sole purpose and only to the extent needed to communicate with the membership to support their chosen area of interest.. Service providers and suppliers are required to keep confidential and secure the personal information received from SNIA ANZ and may not use it for any purpose other than as originally intended.

Third party service providers and suppliers receiving personal information are expected to apply the same level of privacy protection as contained in this Privacy Policy. However, unless otherwise dictated by law or agreement, SNIA ANZ is not responsible for any improper use by such parties.

Unless permitted by relevant laws, or you have agreed to this, SNIA ANZ will not share personal information you provided to SNIA ANZ with any other third parties without your permission, or sell, trade or lease your personal information to others.

Options

SNIA ANZ does not require that our visitors to SNIA ANZ websites provide SNIA ANZ with personal information. The decision to provide personal information is your choice. If you do not wish to provide the personal information requested, however, you may not be able to receive the information you requsted. To unsubscribe at any time please send an email to admin@snia.org.au or use the unsubscribe option on the website subscription page.

Links to non-SNIA ANZ websites and third parties

The SNIA ANZ websites may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the SNIA ANZ web site. SNIA ANZ does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from SNIA ANZ's. We do not endorse or make any representations about third party websites. The personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by the SNIA ANZ Privacy Policy.
