The SNIA Data Management Forum have recently launched a new 'ILM Maturity Model' which provides both a self-assessment method and a roadmap outlining the steps that organisations need to take to achieve a self-regulating, optimised, policy-based information management practice. Organisations looking to reduce operating costs and improve efficiencies in the data centre need to assess their information assets and have a roadmap for improvement. A vendor-neutral ILM Maturity self-assessment tool and associated whitepaper are now available for download. |

SNIA ANZ releases new white paper on managing data in a public cloud. When evaluating cloud implementations, there are three types to be considered: public, private, and hybrid models (many users implement a combination of these).
