    Andrew Vranjes
    Practice Manager - Alphawest

    Andrew Vranjes is the Practice Manager for the Systems & Storage Group within Alphawest. Andrew has a national responsibility for both creating and executing the strategy for the SSP Group. In this role Andrew focuses on achieving top line growth and bottom line performance. Andrew has over 10 years experience in the ICT industry, with roles in engineering, consulting and solution design. Andrew's broad skill set also provides the expertise required to offer vendor agnostic, consultative, systems and storage solutions, to meet clients requirements and business drivers. Andrew is one of a handful of SNIA's recognised worldwide high achievers.

    Scott Campey
    CEO - Clonnaugh Pty Ltd & SNIA ANZ Secretary

    Scott Campey is the CEO of Clonnaugh, an independent consultancy firm based in Canberra. Clonnaugh's consulting model sees their consultants undertaking strategic engagements across a number of market segments for both commercial and federal customers. Scott has over 20 years experience in the IT service industry working for a range of customers across both commercial and government sectors addressing all facets of architecture, design, operational delivery and program delivery. Scott is focused on establishing a greater voice for the user community within the storage industry and aims to ensure that the user community participate more in the development of industry standards. Scott is currently a non-executive director and board member for several commercial and not for profit organisations, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

     

    Justin Boyd
    Server and Storage Product Marketing Manager  - Dell                                           
    Justin is the Enterprise Marketing Manager for Dell Australia and New Zealand. In this role Justin is responsible for Dell's Server/Networking and Storage portfolio. Justin joined Dell Australia 10 years ago and is an industry veteran of 23 years. Initially in pre-sales consulting, Justin moved to take the lead position in driving the Dell and EMC partnership in Australia and New Zealand and more recently has introduced the Dell/EqualLogic iSCSI portfolio to the ANZ market.

    Peter Prowse                                                                                                        General Manager, Data Centre Solutions - Dimension Data                                      Peter Prowse joined Dimension Data Australia in January 2010, as General Manager, Data Centre Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for the financial and strategic direction of Dimension Data's DCS business in Australia, which includes driving the development of new solution and service offerings, fostering robust client and vendor relationships, and liaising with Dimension Data's global business to develop global standards for the DCS practice in Australia. Prior to Dimension Data, Peter held a number of senior management and sales roles at Hewlett Packard (HP) South Pacific over a 10 year period.  Most recently, he spent two years leading HP's systems integration business as Director of HP's Network Solutions Group. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing solutions around Unified Communications; Security; and Data Centre Networking. Prior to his time at HP, Peter held management roles at IT services company Interim technology, IBM, and IT training firm Pollak Partners. Peter is currently studying for an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

    Clive Gold
    Marketing CTO - EMC & SNIA ANZ Vice-Chair

    Clive Gold joined EMC Corporation in 1999 as the Regional Marketing Director and became the Director Product Marketing in 2004. Clive has now taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer for this region, in which Clive is responsible for EMC's specialist marketing activities and he plays a strategic role in advising on the overall direction of EMC.
    Clive has over 25 years experience in the IT industry having commenced his career with Hewlett-Packard, Clive subsequently held a variety of senior positions in sales, marketing and services with companies including ComTech and Pyramid Technology. Clive holds a Masters degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

    Mark Nielsen
    Product Marketing Manager - HP Australia

    Mark Nielsen is product marketing manager for HP’s StorageWorks Division, part of the Enterprise Storage and Server (ESS) Group. He is responsible for product management and marketing of the HP StorageWorks portfolio and supporting the sales and services teams to deliver integrated storage solutions to both Enterprise and SMB customers throughout Australia. As part of his role at HP, Mark works closely with the enterprise team to develop end-to-end customer solutions and help HP achieve financial and market objectives for its storage business. Mark has more than 22 years experience in the Australian IT industry having joined Digital Equipment Corporation in 1995. Mark has held numerous roles in sales, business management and business development across a broad product and solutions portfolio which includes OEM, storage, servers and services.

    Ross Harper
    Director of Strategic Alliances - Hitachi Data Systems & SNIA Treasurer

    Ross Harper is currently Director of Strategic Alliances at Hitachi Data Systems. In this role Ross is responsible for ensuring HDS maintains close partnerships with leading and emerging companies in the Storage market. These partners are both international and locally based companies and include both OEM relationships and technology provider partners. Ross is committed to working with the other SNIA members in promoting storage networking throughout Australia and New Zealand. Ross has been at Hitachi Data Systems for over 13 years and has held various roles including Director of Services and Support, Channel Sales Director, Product Manager and Technical Support Specialist. Ross has spoken many times at customer and industry events on current storage topics and trends. Ross has over 22 years experience in the IT industry.

    Anna Wells                                                                                                               Storage Sales Leader, Systems & Technology Group - IBM Australia
    Anna is the Storage Sales Leader for the IBM Systems and Technology Group in Australia and New Zealand.  She is responsible for the direction and results of IBM’s storage business in Australia and New Zealand, which includes disk, tape, networking, storage software and solutions. 
    Anna has been in the Systems and Technology Group since 2008 and has led IBM storage in Australia and New Zealand during that time. In 1982, Anna joined IBM in Wellington, New Zealand.  She has held a number of client executive and management positions, focused on Distribution, Consumer Goods and Public Sector clients throughout her IBM career. Anna has an Honours degree in Computer Science from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. 

    Terry Dunn
    General Manager, Server Storage Business Unit - Ingram Micro NZ Ltd                    
    Terry Dunn joined Ingram Micro through its purchase of Value Added Distributors (VAD) in 2009. Having founded VAD in 2000 Terry was justifiably proud of the strong team that was able to be transferred as part of the Ingram Micro acquisition. Terry moved directly into the role of General Manager for Ingram Micro's Server and Storage Group and takes full responsibility for its 24 strong team which covers New Zealand with staff based in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Terry started in the industry over twenty five years ago when Business World in Palmerston North was acquired by Computerland. Terry furthered his university study with a post graduate degree in mediation and arbitration and earned an MBA at Victoria University, Wellington. Prior to founding VAD he was the Managing Director and a shareholder in a successful software company. Today he still enjoys cutting high-end systems deals and has a real strength in building a strong team that is capable of working equally hard for both vendors and resellers.

    Simon Sharwood
    Jargonmaster Corporate Communications

    Simon Sharwood has spent the last fifteen years writing for and about the information technology industries as a journalist, marketer and public relations consultant. He is now editor of Australia and New Zealand’s only dedicated storage news website, searchstorage.com.au, in addition to various other freelance writing, editing and podcasting engagements.

    Head of Hosting & Networks - National Australia Bank                                             
    Andrew is responsible for the Hosting and Network Services functions within Technology Operations at NAB. This includes Mainframe, Server, Storage, Databases and Middleware and Networks.  Andrew is also responsible for the delivery of the day to day management of our Next Generation Banking Services. Prior to joining NAB Andrew has held a variety of Senior Infrastructure roles within the Financial Services industry.

    John Martin                                                                                                          Consulting Systems Engineer - NetApp Australia                                                         John Martin is a Consulting Systems Engineer responsible for data protection and retention services across NetApp Australia and New Zealand. John has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has spent the last decade specialising in Data Protection and Disaster Recovery. Based in Sydney, John works closely with NetApp's systems engineer partners and partner consultants from Symantec and Commvault. John joined NetApp in 2006 as a Systems Engineer and was promoted to Consulting Systems Engineer in January 2008. Before joining NetApp, John was a Principal of GRID IT where he built relationships with major storage vendors EMC, Symantec and StorageTek while at the same time helping to start two storage related businesses. At GRID IT, he was involved in senior pre-sales, consulting and training for Legato, Veritas, and StorageTek.

    Kate Walker
    Chief Executive Officer - RMAA                                                                                     
    Kate is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Records Management Association of Australasia (RMAA). She also owns and operates her own consulting business - Relevancy Pty Ltd - which pursues information management solutions, in particular; workflow, document and records management solutions as well as providing training and assessment in line with the AQTF Competency Framework. She is a widely recognised advisor on the subjects of Knowledge Management, Information Management, Records and Document Management, E-Business, Workflow & Image Processing, Process Mapping & Analysis, and information enabling technology. She has conducted Audits, Corporate Plans, Strategic Studies and Implementation & Impact Studies on the introduction of information technologies.

    Craig Scroggie
    Vice President, Pacific Region - Symantec & SNIA ANZ Chairman                            
    Craig Scroggie is Vice President of the Pacific region encompassing Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, responsible for driving Symantec's sales and business development in the region. Scroggie serves as senior leader for the overall Symantec business in Pacific.

    Previously the senior director of business development for Asia Pacific and Japan, Scroggie was responsible for leading enterprise business development for Symantec's fastest growing region. He was also the sales director for Veritas Software Australia and New Zealand, responsible for sales, support, strategy, planning, renewals, and operations. Previous roles include national sales manager at Computer Associates, national channels manager for EMC Corporation, sales and marketing manager of the telecommunication and technology group for Fujitsu, national sales manager of Yamaha's computer and multimedia products division and the IT manager of Allans/Brashs retail chain in Australia. Scroggie is a graduate and fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a fellow of the Australian Sales & Marketing Institute and serves on their National Advisory Committee. He is also a trustee for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia. Craig is a graduate of the University of Southern Queensland and holds post graduate qualifications in Information Technology and Management.
