Building a working knowledge of Storage Networking through a clear understanding of Solutions and Technology.

For professionals who require a comprehensive introduction to the technologies and solutions that provide the basis for understanding the Storage Networking environment and to build the foundation for advanced technical training.

Course Description

Storage Networking Concepts Foundation provides an introduction to storage networking concepts, technologies and solutions. Attendees will explore fundamental storage concepts, disk technology, storage architectures, storage management and storage networking protocols such as SCSI, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP and iFCP. Key solutions will be presented, which addresses data sharing, Network Attached Storage (NAS), disaster recovery preparation, extended SAN's, business continuity, backup and recovery, and storage consolidation. After completing this course, attendees will be well prepared to attend more advanced courses on storage networking solutions and implementation, as well as courses which address specific technologies.
